Nothing makes your baked goods taste better than homemade vanilla extract.

- 10 vanilla beans
- 750 ml Vodka, 70 - 90 proof
- Split vanilla beans vertically down the center but don't cut completely into. Pour vodka into an air tight glass container add vanilla beans, seal and shake. Store in a cool dark spot and shake once a day for a month.
For best results use Grade A vanilla beans. The are plump and moist and make the best extract. The mixture will get darker as the month goes on.
