Her Adoring Seal is the third installment in Caithlyn O’Leary’s Midnight Delta series. This is the first book I have read of the series and found it very well written and the characters we very easy to like and relate to.
Beth Hildago is in protective custody after her and her family’s life has been threatened multiple times in an effort to keep her father from testifying. If that isn’t enough she is traumatized after being held captive by the Mexican drug lords. Now, corrupt DEA are trying to hunt her down and it is up to an elite branch of the Navy Seals to keep her and her family safe.
Jack Preston is a decorated Navy SEAL who has just returned from a mission that has taken a toll on him mentally. In an effort to regroup Jack decides to take a week-long vacation and head to his families ranch in Texas. While there he receives a call asking him to join a specialized division of the seals called the Midnight Delta team. Once Jack meets up with the team he learns he is to be assigned as protector to a young woman who has suffered severe trauma and is uneasy around all men.
Jack knows just how to handle the situation. After his mother and him escaped an abusive father, Jack has learned how to handle and make others feel comfortable without frightening them. He thinks he is just showing the same gentle care to Beth, but it becomes obvious to everyone just how fast Jack is falling for the beautiful and timid young woman. Once Jack discovers how deep his feelings run for Beth he will do anything to keep her safe and with him.
I received this book compliments of the publisher for my honest review and opinion. All ratings and opinions stated are my own.
