Okay, so I have to admit, my daughter laughed out loud when she saw this recipe in the book I made her for Christmas one year. It is so simple, and lots of people have something similar in their kitchens. It is a good base for seasoning just about any meat before cooking.
1/2 cup salt
1/3 cup black pepper
1/4 garlic powder
1/4 onion powder
Combine ingredients in a small bowl and whisk together. Pour into an air tight container. This will keep for up to 3 months. If mixture is too salty for your liking then add equal amounts of salt and black pepper. A little goes a long way, so keep this in mind when seasoning your foods.
